Wondering if I can brak a lease for unsafe living conditioins seen snakes twice at doorstep landlord no help.?

My landlords advice was to plant some plants, how can I do that when the front is all concrete also, have seen a lot of poisonouss spiders in my bathroom, and all around the complex, I also have a two year old son
