Why my 1979 chevy doesn't have power?

I can floor the gas pedal and wont have any scratch or burnout. It takes awhile to gain any speed it builds slowly its a 350 it doesn't over heat at all and i had a new intake, carburetor and transmission put on what could the problem be? why is it moving like a slug
